# Why we started Grayhaven.

Grayhaven is an AI deployment company that builds custom models and AI agents for healthcare, legal, banking, and utility organizations, and runs them after launch.

## What Grayhaven does.

- **Custom models.** Models trained on your own records for jobs like sorting, scoring, and triage, when ready-made AI falls short.
- **AI agents.** Software that gathers information across your systems, reasons over it, and prepares the work, with people approving where it counts.
- **Testing.** Every system is measured on your real work against what you do today, before you pay to run it.
- **Operations.** We run what we build. We watch it, fix it, and upgrade it when something better passes our tests.

## What makes us different.

- **Proven on your work first.** Every system starts as a paid trial on one task, measured on your real work against what you use today. You see the full price before the trial.
- **The people who build it run it.** After launch the same people keep it working, and upgrade it when something better passes our tests. You have one team to call.
- **It runs where you choose.** Your office, your own cloud account such as AWS or Azure, or an outside AI service you approve. Nothing new reaches your team until you say yes.
- **Built for regulated work.** We are HIPAA compliant, sign Business Associate Agreements, and completed CSA STAR Level 1. We keep a record of who approved and used each AI.
- **We keep up with AI.** What AI can do changes every few months. We test what is new on your work and bring in what beats what you have.

## The team behind Grayhaven.

Tyler Gibbs founded Grayhaven in 2023. He spent three years at LexisNexis, where he built more than twenty AI systems. He saw that for many companies, AI that is mostly right is not good enough, and started Grayhaven to build AI that is. Four people work at Grayhaven full time, including Tyler.

Our engineers have worked at Tesla, OpenAI, Palantir, and Lockheed Martin.

Tyler Gibbs. Founder, Oklahoma City. I spent three years at LexisNexis building AI systems. After doing that, I realized there are a lot of companies where AI being mostly right just isn’t good enough. That’s why I started Grayhaven.

## Questions.

### Are you a consultancy or a software company?

An AI deployment company. We build software and AI systems for your work and run them.

### Have you done this before?

Yes. We built a model that triages clinical records for a health system, an agent that prepares prior authorizations for another, a model that classifies fraud and abuse for a bank, and an agent that triages documents for a law firm.

### Do we need to hire AI engineers?

No. That is us.

### What if our current AI tools already do the job?

Then keep them. We take on the work your current tools do not do well.

### Does it work with the systems we already have?

Yes. We build on the software you already run, so you do not replace or move anything. One agent we built works across a health record system, internal databases, and outside sources.

### How long does a trial take?

Usually two to four weeks. We agree on the length with you in writing before it starts.

### How much of our team's time does it take?

During the trial, a few hours a week from the people who do the task today. We do the building.

### Where does our data go?

Private work stays in your office or your own cloud account. Other work only goes to AI services you approve that sign the privacy agreement your industry requires.

### What does it cost?

Typical starting budgets are $15k to $25k for an assessment and $35k or more for a build. We agree on scope and price before work starts.

### Will you sign a BAA?

Yes. We sign Business Associate Agreements with customers who handle patient information.

### Do you hold security certifications?

Not today. We completed CSA STAR Level 1, a security self-assessment published by the Cloud Security Alliance, and we keep records of who approved and used each AI.
